Chinese Calligrphy

Calligraphy is the art of writing,but writing maybe isn't calligraphy.It was a big question that  when the art of Chinese calligraphy was formed.
In Yuan dynasty,there was a scholar named Haojing,he wrote in his Lingchuan collections tjat in preqin dynasty,writing was just a kind of technique toghether with shooting arrow and riding.The concept of calligraphy was formed later.Another scholar Liuyin said the same with him in his book.But why all the calligraphers in late dynasties took the writings of preqin as the modles?We should discuss this question from two sides.First we know our Chinese ancestors had a good sense of art and beauty.The classical things of Yangshao culture and Longshan culture ceramics and stone things are very delicate.Some fish,flying bird on the body of ceramics are like alive.Though the daily things were these,the ancestors would write great characters on the surface of the memorial utensils.The other is the feature of our characters.Chinese characters have diffrent forms and change a lot.every character is followed the form of natural things.And they all collected all the beauties.First,people observed the things carefully,then created the caracters.Another scholar in Yuan dynasty named Hanxing wrote in his book that because the ancient people didn't think the art of the characters,so the characters the wrote was very natural.The theory was very important.All the comments of a very kind of calligraphy or a calligrapher were from two sides:natural beautiful or life beautiful.Some calligraphers formed their styles just from observing things.
