Stamp released to cheer Sino-Moroccan friendship

2008 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco. The Moroccan Post Office has released a set of commemorative stamps in recognition of a half century of friendship between the two countries.
The three stamps were designed in Morocco. They were printed in China at no charge. Morocco's ancient gateway - China's Great Wall - symbolic porcelain and the distinctive windows of both countries are featured on the three stamps. The national flags and the number "50" are also printed.
China's ambassador to Morocco, Gong Yuanxing spoke at the unveiling of the stamps. He told the gathering, the mutual friendship between the two countries has developed greatly in the past 50 years.
Communication and cooperation continue expanding. The stamps elaborately juxtapose the cultures of China and Morocco.
Moulay El Hassan Taleb, chairman of China-Morocco Friendship Association, said, "Morocco and China have enjoyed a close relationship since establishing diplomatic relations in 1958. Leaders of both countries have visited each other many times. We cooperate in many fields. I believe the friendship and mutual support between the two nations will grow stronger in the future."
The Moroccan Post Office has released stamps many times commemorating the bilateral relations. The stamps serve as symbols, preserving the history of Sino-Moroccan friendship and have helped in promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries.
